Cathodic Protection_
General Description: PCC (Potential, Current and Corrosion) Software:
PCC software is presented as a comprehensive tool for the analysis and design of cathodic protection (CP) systems in installations subject to corrosion. Its key features include:
-
DC Interference Modeling:
-
Incorporation of Interference Data: The PCC software allows the integration of DC interference data, whether obtained experimentally or from electrochemical theories. This is essential to understand and model the impact of interferences on the corrosion of structures.
-
-
Cathodic Protection Design:
-
Specialized Design Tools: The software offers specific tools for the design of cathodic protection systems. Engineers can configure relevant parameters, such as the location of sacrificial anodes or the imposed current, to optimize the effectiveness of the protection system.
-
-
3D meshing:
-
Three-Dimensional Representation: The ability to perform 3D meshing is essential to model the detailed geometry of facilities and structures. This three-dimensional meshing helps define critical areas susceptible to corrosion and allows accurate simulation of current distribution and potentials in the structure.
-
-
Evaluation of Alternatives and Testing of Hypotheses:
-
Comparative Analysis: The PCC software enables the evaluation of different cathodic protection design alternatives and strategies to mitigate DC interference. Engineers can perform comparative analyzes to select the most effective solution.
-
Hypothesis Testing: Users can test various hypotheses related to cathodic protection design and DC interference management, using modeled data to support or refute their assumptions.
-
-
Simulations and Results:
-
Dynamic Simulation: The software allows dynamic simulations to be carried out that reflect changes over time, such as variations in the corrosivity of the environment or the presence of changing interference sources.
-
Visualization of Results: The visualization of results through graphs and 3D maps facilitates the interpretation of the effects of cathodic protection and DC interferences on the structure, allowing informed decision making.
-
In summary, PCC software provides a complete platform that integrates DC interference modeling, cathodic protection design and 3D meshing, allowing alternative evaluation and hypothesis testing to ensure the integrity of structures against corrosion.

The results will give the conclusion of the final state of inductive, resistive and capacitive interference as required, through the following results:

• Distribution of leakage current, longitudinal current, potential, electromotive force and complex power in the aerial electrodes with 1D (magnitude, real and imaginary), 2D and 3D graphic representation

• Magnetic field and electric field distributions in arbitrarily oriented straight line or horizontal or vertical rectangular area with 1D, 2D and 3D color graphical representations, including determination of safe and dangerous areas

• Magnetic flux through rectangular horizontal or vertical areas for identification of induced electromagnetic fields and evaluation of separation distance
